# Malaysian Food 馬來西亞菜
Appetizer- Nyonya Pai Tee 娘惹小脆餅
It’s like a mini cupcake (very mini cupcake), outside is crispy, inside is filled with carrot, radish, mostly veggies inside..some I cant taste it, it gave a flavor of coolness as it is very hot outside during mid time of the day.
很像縮小版的杯子蛋糕裡面是涼拌沙拉（白蘿蔔絲, 紅蘿蔔絲, 菜）外頭是酥脆的殻子, 在大熱天下吃這開胃菜可是清涼一下.
Main Course- Laksa 主餐-南洋Laksa
My FAVOURITE, FAVOURITE South East Asian food, always a MUST eat for me when I visit Malaysia or Singapore.
A mixture of coconut sauce and curry (South East Asian curry flavor, curry different from Indian curry and Japanese curry), lemongrass, pandan leave, some seafood (fishball), bean sprout, fried tofu, and South East Asian spices.
The ingredient of Laksa is vary from restaurants, its always neat to try out different dining place to check new flavour out.
由椰漿奶與南洋咖喱煮成 （說不吃這咖喱, 不如印度的味道深至喉嚨深處及鹹, 獲日本咖喱甜甜的）,檸檬草, 香茅, 一些海鮮（魚漿）,豆芽菜, 炸豆腐, 及南洋辛香料. 每家餐廳Laksa的做法都稍作不一樣, 底大同小異, 味道上會有些微不同, 可以到不同家吃吃看噢！
#Indian Restaurant 印度餐廳
It was afternoon when my friend and I chilled after a long walk strolling around in Kuala Lumpur simply have no idea where we were going, but heading to places we wonder what was out there and turn left or right, however he already had in mind we’ll come here for an afternoon snack.
The restaurant was packed with Indian (duh! Its Indian restaurant), there was a pic I didn’t took, very hilarious, two tables sat together, one were sat with all Indian ladies and the other were all Indian teenagers, we thought it was just a coincidence a all Mom and all teenager table, however they were together and were giggling, chatting around…it looks really fun, unique and interesting..sorry if I didn’t described it well, ha! And obviously we were the only Chinese in the restaurant.
下午時分, 走了一整個上午在吉隆坡大街小巷穿梭, 天氣實在非常的熱, 與出發時只有15度的台北相差甚遠, 在那兒溫度標近30度, 我們不知要往左或是往右, 隨意探險, 覺得左邊有路就往左, 右邊感覺有什麼就往右…..然而天氣雖熱, 但朋友七早八早就想好下午茶要吃什麼囉～ （實在是一直在吃的行程）
印度料理！ 滿滿都是印度人（啊～不然為何是印度餐廳）,只是覺得很有趣我們是唯一的華人, 環顧四週我們格外的顯眼.
Snack- xxxx noodles (sry..i forgot the noodles name)
下午茶- 某某麵 （忘了名稱><）
It looks 100% like the Chinese noodles we eat, however taste 100% not the Chinese noodles we thought would ring the taste bud .
This Indian noodle is made up of noodle, veggies, shrimp, and spices. A strong taste to begin with, in the end would be a spice light up in the end.
樣似100%炒麵但是味道100%非炒麵味. 此印度麵由淡淡辛香料調味, 裡頭含有青菜, 蝦（但好鹹）, 剛開始吃時會覺得麵味稍鹹, 吃到最後味蕾的最後端有麻麻的辣味, 後勁十足.
Indian Dessert 印度甜點
Its sale on the street with a man riding a motorbike like the ice-cream van in the US having its signature song telling everyone ‘I’m here!’
The motorbike had been singing a while around the place where we were eating and my friend’s father was very generous and ran over to have the man to stop by at our place in showing me how its been served. Thxs to Tung’Tung’s Dad!
我們在路邊享用晚餐便聽到巴哺巴哺印度甜點阿伯在叫賣, 朋友爸爸想說我第一次看到這兒, 跑去跟阿伯買了一個, 也請阿伯把車騎到我們座位旁, 好讓我看這印度甜點是怎麼賣的.

Being wrapped up in newspaper and plastic bag. In the middle is noodle made out of rice, on the left is brown sugar, and on the right is coconut. Would take a bit of rice noodle, a bit of brown sugar, and coconut together with hand and yumyumyum!
中間是由米製成的鬆鬆軟軟麵, 左手邊是紅糖, 右手邊是椰子粉, 吃時每個都拿一點一點用手抓拉吃, 好好吃, 甜甜香香的椰子味, 要小心不要掉噢, 像我就很不會用手吃, 吃得哩哩拉拉～
Tropical fruits!!!! A species of ramutan to begin in the left, different kind of grapes, apples, and oranges. Its pretty hard to have apple in South East Asia due to the weather, I guess it maybe imported or whatever somehow.
熱帶水果！從左至右是紅毛丹, 紫葡萄, 綠葡萄, 紅葡萄, 後方蘋果實在是稀有因為蘋果不生長在熱帶地方, 大概是進口的吧?
The middle is wax apple (we love them in Taiwan), and on the very right is fire dragon fruit…sounds funny yea?! But this is how its been named and translated. It origin from the Caribbean, a typical tropical fruit, the fruit flesh is red on this one, some are white..and I remembered when my cousin was just a baby and we gave her this one, what came out of diaper were all mix of black seed (as shown in the pic), we were all panicked thought she had some kind of food poison or is sick in immediately taking her to the doctor, however the doctor chuckled and said: “You had fed her fire dragon fruit isn’t it!” Lol
蓮霧, 紅色火龍果. 火龍果原來是來自加勒比海現在在亞洲很夯, 記得小時候給表妹吃火龍果, 吃的她的消化物都水水然後很多黑點點, 嚇得我們馬上送醫院怕是發生什麼大事, 醫生看了後笑笑的問我們是不是餵了火龍果, 可見火龍果消化迅速, 清腸.
Start from the left would be mango, mangosteen, and on the very right are dragon eyes….dont they all have such a cool English name!!!
從左至右芒果, 山竹, 龍眼….其實看英文的會覺得他們的名字很有趣 哈哈
#Thai food in Malaysia 在馬來西亞的泰式料理
Was very special to bump into my friend’s mom’s bday during my visit, and headed out for Thai food to celebrate.
實在很有口福的到達馬來西亞當天是朋友媽媽的生日, 一同歡慶陳媽媽生日快樂吃泰國料理, 永遠美麗！
It’s kind of shell, can’t find its English name, must be cleaned very well, its full with flesh inside and will dip into the sweet+sour+spicy sauce.
這是血蛤, 感覺跟我們某些貝類相似, 我也說不出所以然, 只知道吃的速度要很快, 因為我的貝殼都不打開, 我也很不會撬開它, 朋友說快撬開它, 再慢慢吃啥都吃不到了！ 要配泰式酸甜辣醬吃, 且這辣的程度比台灣還辣 （以本身超愛吃辣的人的口感）
Tasty shrimps in the back, on the back right is papaya salad, and juciy chicken in the front.
左方泰式炒蝦, 後方是青木瓜沙拉, 前面是可口多姿的泰式雞翅.
Yum! Yum! Thaiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiii food!!!!

It’s such a traditional market, as can see butchers are all out, and chickens in cages.
好傳統的市集噢, 我已經很久沒有看到這樣的傳統市場, 頻頻驚呼, 右邊還有雞籠.
Are you ready to have some chickens? 磨刀霍霍, 老板來一整隻雞好嗎？
# Chinese Street Food 中式路邊攤
Beef Noodles 牛肉麵
The beef noodles is very different than those we eat in Taiwan. It has every bit part of a cow meat in bowl. The noodles and beef are separated, not like we mixed soup and beef and noodles all together in one bowl in Taiwan.
這兒的牛肉麵跟我們不一樣, 麵與湯是分開的. 湯裡有牛肉丸子, 牛肉片, 牛肚, 牛兒可食用的部位.
# Home delicacy food 媽媽煮的菜永遠最好吃
This is called: Yee Shan.
Ingredients may be different within family, however must have seafood inside (salmon or tuna) as the words sound stands for have some saving this year to bring more to come for next year.
I remembered that day my friend’s mom put cucumber, apple, grapefruit, carrot, some kind of veggie, green papaya, and others I also forgot again >< (this is what happen when you eat too much, head full with food and happiness) topping with plum sauce. Shred in long as wishing everyone to live long and prosperous long.
It’s a Chinese New Year traditional to be eaten in Malaysia and Singapore.
Everyone will put their chopsticks in the middle to start mixing the ingredients together throwing them up high saying blessing words wishing a great new year to come!
這道菜叫做“魚生 or 撈生”是星馬地區過年必吃的年菜. 此魚是指生魚片, 將生魚片放入由青木瓜, 紅蘿蔔, 些時蔬, 黃瓜, 朋友媽媽那一天還放了柚子等涼拌著吃.(配料可自行選擇內容) 大夥拿著自個兒的筷子, 大家一起開始高高的撈起, 撈起時說過年吉祥話, 祝福新的一年步步高升, 年年有餘!

My friend’s Mom is from Hainan and I must say the sauce does taste different, though I don’t know what is the real flavor, this taste absolutely wonderful!
這是一道驚喜. 原來朋友的媽媽是海南人, 道道地地的海南雞飯, 醬料很香, 噢一喜！
My friend’s sis tell me their Mom is a very good cook, and I am very lucky to have a chance to eat all these great dishes, as some of them are served only in special occasion as in CNY. I am so thankful for my friends to take me exploring KL and a try-out in all delicious local cuisines.
滿桌的佳餚, 實在很有口福, 有些菜是過年才能吃的大菜, 小女過年前來到馬來西亞就提前先慶祝了！ 謝謝小明和彤彤帶我逛吉隆坡吃吃喝喝嘗試當地食物 ：）
